Route…
* DAY 1 - London to Dover & Calais | 75 miles | Elevation gain 850m | MAP
We’ll set off from our start location shortly after 07.00 am, before the morning rush hour.
As it is day 1, there are frequent stops, and the pace is gentle to help us get into the challenge. It won’t take too long for us to enter the peace and quiet of the countryside.
After regular stops to recharge, we’ll stop at a local village hall (Shadoxhurst Village Hall) for a really well-earned lunch.
After lunch, we will continue our journey to Dover. Our snack stops will keep you going, and upon arrival in Dover, you will get a well-earned break and reflect on completing the hardest cycling day (in our opinion) over your evening meal on the ferry.
We will arrive in Calais at approximately 9.00 pm (local time) and will cycle the short distance to our hotel.
After checking in, you will be able to share your stories of Day 1 plus have time to get a good night's sleep and be ready for Day 2.
* DAY 2 - Calais to Abbeville, 80 miles | Elevation gain 746m | MAP
As we make our way out of the busy and vibrant port town of Calais, we will have the pleasure of enjoying the stunning and picturesque views that unfold as we travel through the gently rolling hills and serene French farmland.
Day two is a lovely day of cycling through northern France, offering a delightful variety that will engage and challenge our participants. We will approach the day at a steady and manageable pace, ensuring we have plenty of well-deserved stops to rest and recover from our physical exertions.
During our journey, we will take a break for lunch in the charming town of Cucq for a carb-fuelled buffet and ice cream! Not only a chance to relish the lovely surroundings but also to also to recharge.
After a satisfying rest, we will continue on our afternoon cycle, which spans a distance of appx 30 miles to the quaint town of Abbeville.
Once we arrive in Abbeville, we will gather for an enjoyable evening meal at the hotel, and our participants will have the opportunity to explore the town and perhaps unwind with a drink in a nearby bar. However, don’t stay up too late, as we still have two more days of cycling ahead of us to reach our exciting destination!
* DAY 3 - Abbeville to Beauvais, 77 miles | Elevation gain 888m | MAP
Cycling starts around 8:00 a.m. from the hotel with a gentle cycle out of the town centre.
After several short stops and having covered a good distance, we will break for snacks in the delightful French village of Senarpont.
After this short stop, we will get back on our bikes and cycle to Forges-les-Eaux, where we will stop for lunch in the centre of the town. Do explore the Clock Tower park.
After lunch, we will cycle through the peaceful farmland of northern France and then, at Gournay-en-Bray, join the Avenue Verte for the final 18m stretch to Beauvais. This is an old disused railway line, with plenty of snack stations along the beautiful tree-lined route.
Upon arrival in Beauvais, you will have time to relax, freshen up, and reflect on Day 3. Explore the town; it is a hidden gem, and the Cathedral is breathtaking.
Later that day, we will meet for an evening in one of the local restaurants, where you’ll also have the chance to enjoy some local food and wine before you sink into bed ahead of our final day, the ride to Paris!!
* DAY 4 - Beauvais to Paris | 60 miles | Elevation gain 626m | MAP
After our morning rider briefing, we will all set off on our day 4 journey to the finish line, Paris. The route is varied, but unlike any other ride, you will be riding part of Stage 21 of the 2025 Tour de France!!!
The day will start with a gentle ride to Ballial-sur-Therain, where we will stop for pastries and coffee and a briefing.
Then, we will continue our journey by riding some of the 2025 Tour de France route. You will experience riding in your own peleton, through the villages and towns, along the river, and even through the villages and countryside. The route then heads to Versailles for our lunch stop.
After lunch, we will then continue our journey north along the edge of the river, where we will have lunch, knowing that we’ll have less than 15 miles of the challenge left. This final 15 miles will include the world-famous end of the Tour de France, a cycle up the Champs d’Elysses and around part of the Arc de Triomphe!
After lunch, we will very quickly enter the outskirts of Paris and then enter the city. There are lots of junctions on the route, so it will be a stop-start. We will remain in our groups until our finish line, the Eiffel Tower, where we will celebrate.
We will then cycle the short distance to our hotel, check in, freshen up, and have a celebration meal.
