The inaugural Lambrook Walk will bring our community together for an unforgettable adventure—exploring the sights of our beautiful capital city, getting active, and strengthening friendships, all while raising money for our school charity partners.

This epic challenge offers three distance options, so you can choose the one that suits you best. The adventure begins at midnight on Saturday, 20 September, as participants taking on the full Lambrook 55 (55km) set off from central London.

Don’t worry, not everyone needs to start at midnight! Whether you're up for the full challenge, the Lambrook 30 (30km), or the Lambrook 10 (10km), there’s a route for everyone.

All three routes take in breathtaking views of historic landmarks, follow the Thames Path, and weave through the Royal Parks before finishing at Lambrook School, where a well-earned celebration awaits.

This event is for everyone, with fully accessible, guided, and marshalled routes suitable for all abilities. All children are very welcome and benefit from free places in the challenge. Anyone under the age of 18 years will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Which challenge will you take on? Places are limited, so sign up today. The full event details are below!

    The Route
This 55 km route is mostly flat, with a total elevation gain of 226 m. You’ll walk on various surfaces, including pavements, river paths, walking trails, country lanes, park paths, and woodland. Sturdy walking boots with ankle support are essential for the varied terrain, and it will be a significant advantage if you wear them before the big day!

    Duration
This event is not a race; everyone should be able to walk at a comfortable pace. The 55 km should take approximately 11 to 12 hours, but some walkers may take up to 13 hours.

How fit do I need to be?
The route distance is challenging but achievable for most people if they train well in advance. A training guide is available to help you prepare.

What will I need to carry?
We recommend carrying only the essentials, such as waterproofs, layers, water (a minimum of 2 litres), a mobile phone, and any necessary medication. Regular checkpoints will be available every 5 miles. Check the kit list to confirm everything you will need.

Ensure you have trained with your backpack, carrying everything necessary, so that you are accustomed to walking with your pack at full weight.

What support will there be along the route?
Team members will be spread along the route, with a back marker at the rear. The route will be available via a digital online map, and marshals will be positioned every 8 km and at any more complex sections. There will also be staffed rest stops along the route, where we will be available to provide assistance and plenty of encouragement. Refreshments, water refill stations, first aid support, and toilets will be provided at all rest stops.
