I acknowledge that this is a walking challenge which will take place on paved surfaces, off-road paths and/or rugged terrain. As such I understand that I am governed by the Countryside Code and whilst out walking I am solely responsible for Conducting myself in a manner that shows respect to other users/visitors and protects the outdoor environment. I agree to walk safely and be alert to my surroundings and other participants. I acknowledge that it is not the function of the walk leaders/mountain leaders and guides/volunteers/support team to serve as safety marshals for the challenge. I understand and agree that I am responsible for my own safety. I confirm that the equipment I am using (footwear, appropriate waterproof/thermal layers, bags/carriers) is of a suitable standard and state of worthiness. I acknowledge that I will not be under the influence of alcohol or any legal or non-legal substances that may impair my judgement or ability to conduct myself safely. I acknowledge that I am fully aware of the inherent risks connected with participation in this walking challenge, whether specifically listed in this waiver, the T&Cs or not, and they voluntarily elect to participate in the challenge knowing that this participation involves these risks. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to make a decision whether to walk the route or not. The route taken does not necessarily indicate that a trail is walkable/passable and the individual is deemed to make their own decision about whether to proceed on foot or not at all. Any route provided is for guidance only and TFA Events Limited does not insist that the route travelled is used. Therefore, if I choose to walk a section/route, it is entirely my own choice. If I choose a different route to avoid obstacles or sections I do so entirely at my own risk. I will attach no liability whatsoever to TFA Events Limited, their staff, contractors, or volunteers in respect of any injury, loss, damage, theft vandalism suffered by me, however, caused.
