Insurance

Your Safety Comes First

At TFA Events, the safety of our customers and staff is our top priority. To take part in any of our events, you must have valid insurance that covers you for the specific activity and all relevant countries you’ll be visiting.

What Insurance Do You Need?

To ensure you’re fully protected, your policy should include:

Medical Cover - Your insurance must cover medical expenses and emergency repatriation to your home country. UK residents traveling within the UK are not required to have medical insurance but may still want cancellation cover.

If you are a UK Rresident taking part in a challenge in Europe, you’ll also need a GHIC (or a valid EHIC) for access to state healthcare in case of emergencies.

Cancellation Cover - Check if your policy covers trip cancellations due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances. Ensure you have cover from the moment you register on one of our challenges.

Curtailment Cover - Your policy should protect you if you need to cut your trip short or are refused entry due to illness.

Personal Belongings Protection - Ensure your insurance covers theft, loss, or damage to your personal items.

Cycling Insurance (for cycling challenges) - If you’re participating in a cycling event, you must have specialist cycling insurance that includes: Theft (at home and abroad), Accidental damage (including whilst in transit), Multi-day charity event coverage, Third-party liability in case of an accident

Choosing the Right Insurance

It’s your responsibility to arrange suitable insurance and carefully read the terms to ensure you’re covered for all aspects of your trip. If you need clarification on the activities included, just give us a call.

Please be aware that not all travel insurance policies will cover this activity. We recommend speaking with your insurance provider to confirm you have the right cover.

Cycling Insurance Providers

For cycling-specific insurance, British Cycling and Yellow Jersey offer expert advice and tailored policies. As a TFA Events participant, you can get 10% off Yellow Jersey insurance using the code TFA10. There are also several other providers who specialise in this type of coverage.
